With its houses made with schist-stones and slate-roofs, Poupehan kept its peaceful, original and welcoming character it always had, thanks also to the several tobacco drying sheds spread out here and there. It is the ideal place for a relaxing stay on the banks of the Semois.

The houses of Poupehan made with schist-stones and slate-roofs kept their character. Several tobacco drying sheds spread out in the fields or next to houses and the washing place in the heart of the village remind the past-by period when the culture of tobacco and linen in the washing places did occupy all the village.

The inhabitants of Poupehan can be proud of their rich natural heritage: the wild banks of the Semois and the several exceptional viewpoints and sites: la Croisette, les Goutelles, la Roche Gilquin, le rocher aux Eperviers, le rocher du Midi, the listed site of Merleuxhan,…

The viewpoint of "la chaire à prêcher" is located on the hills near Corbion and it offers a unique view on Poupehan and on the Semois. According to the leegnd, it is there that Pierre the Hermit on the 15th of August 1096 adressed the inhabitants of the valley for bringing them to follow Godefroid de Bouillon on the First Crusade
