Bertrix

The area of Bertrix is a gate to the Semois valley and three of its picturesques villages: Cugnon, Mortehan and Auby. These three villages, typical from the Ardennes, have a great charm lie long the meanders of the lazy Semois. Apart from this tourist pole and its three picturesques villages, there is also an agricultural zone on the plateau that reflects the hard Ardennes, with the villages of Orgeo, Biourge, Rossart, Jéhonville, Assenois and Glaumont.

Among the listed monuments, there are the old church and the cemetery of Cugnon (1780), and the cemetery of Mortehan. The neo-Romanesque church of Bertrix and the original tower bell of Jéhonville are also to be seen.

The Saint-Remacle caves, the arboretum, the sites of Trinchi and the "Château des Fées" are among the natural beauties of the place.
