Chapelle des flachis
Description
An easy wide forest road takes you slowly uphill from the valley of the Semois to the plateau of Le Terne. Here you have a wide view on the surrounding hills. A well-equipped picnic area and barbeque are set up at Camp du Blaireaux: a commemoration of the resistance fighters during the Second World War. The Chapelle du Flachis, a little further along the trail, is also a reminder of the fallen maquisards. The way back to the valley is partly along an old Roman road that crossed the Semois from France to the north.
