Botassart is a little village from the Ardennes in the heart of a preservee nature, that has kept its rural and authentical character around its castle-farm and its chapel from the 17th century. It is well-known for its viewpoint called the "Giant's tomb" that is listed heritage with landscape nature intersts, that dominates the wild Semois river. This area is rich in history and in legends. It is close to the castle of Bouillon, but the ruins of the castles of Liresse and of the château-le-Duc are also to be discovered.

All long the 80 km of marked walk there are :a Cistercian abbey, the moulin du rivage mill, the moulin de l'épine mill, an old baker oven from the 15th century, a church from the 17th century, the arboretum, the garden of wild plants, the roche de l'Ermite rock, the rocher des Gattes rock, the Loquet ford, (ancient passage of the German invasions).

To be visited: the open-air washerwoman museums, tools from the past, Ardennes folk wisdoms and also the foresters' path (free access) This village has kept its authentical character. It is well-known for the" Giant'tomb", an outstanding site that is listed as heritage with landscape nature interests; it dominates the wild Semois river. A must all long the year!
