It is located on the right side of the road from Bertrix to Ochamps. On August 22 1914, a bloody battle took place in the wood of Ochamps, during which the 17th Corps of the 7th French Army got crushed by the German soldiers who also lost a lot of soldiers. The bodies of these victims were burried on the very place of the battle. Currently, only the French soldiers still rest there. The German ones got away in Germany after the Second World War
