This themed walk will take you through the Ardennes countryside in the footsteps of the famous painter Baron Léon Frédéric. This Brussels painter from the late 19th century is a major figure in Belgian painting. His works hang in the Royal Museums of Belgium and all over the world, including France, the United States, Japan and England.
The painter came to Nafraiture in 1883 in search of inspiration. Many of his works were donated to the villagers. You can admire some of them in the village church, which is open to the public. All along the walk, you'll find panels depicting different works by the painter, inspired by the people and landscapes of the village.
